I had to write this to stop wussing out

Writing offers itself to us. An acute thought, a lingering memory, or a quiet moment, are all offerings to write. If you have ever had even a smidgen of writer’s doubt, you know that this offering can be as frightening and blindsiding as your high school crush asking you to dance. You cannot mill over your answer, you cannot worry about whether you know the song or whether you are able move your feet at all. You just MUST say yes and then stop thinking about everything you think you should think about. Just as there is no room for thinking in dancing, there is no room for thinking in writing. The good material that comes from sitting down to write is never preconceived. The goodness comes when you forget that you are writing and you bust a move you never knew you had.

I just heard Zefrey Throwell's car horn symphony! Two cars in my neighborhood were in the orchestra. By far one of the more extraordinary art projects I have witnessed in LA.

Oh this is really good. Like, really good. A voice that can soften the heart of a Valentine’s day grinch.

Speaking of, does cupid have an antagonist? Santa has the grinch, Jesus has the Easter bunny, who does cupid have? Reality?

But really, what a delight.

Gorp schmorp.

When there is not enough chocolate in my house I resort to picking out the M&Ms from trail mix. Then, once I have contorted and shaken the bag enough find the very last candy coated chocolate morsel, it lives in my cupboard for many years being a constant reminder of my desperation and denial that I buy trail mix for any reason other than the M&Ms. Nuts, I will probably never eat you. But at the grocery store you make me feel like I am making a healthy choice, therefore you served your purpose.
